We believe in empowering our clients, multi-disciplinary collaboration and evidence-based practice.
About Megan
Megan Chetty began her physiotherapy career at the end of 2012 after graduating from the University of the Western Cape with accolades Ethics and Research. She completed her community service in Kwa-Zulu Natal and relocated back to Cape Town in 2014. She enjoys working and travelling with various sports disciplines and teams and is the head physiotherapist for Bishops 1st XV rugby team. In 2015, Megan completed post graduate certification in sports physiotherapy (SPT1). She is also part of the Western Cape Sports Physiotherapy Group Committee. In 2018, Megan started her Masters in Exercise Physiology and Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town. In the final dissertation component of the degree, Megan aims to contribute to the field of return-to-play with the long-term goal of preventing injury and reinjury in athletes.
Besides physiotherapy, Megan’s hobbies include running, functional fitness, horse-riding, dancing, and musical theatre. Married in 2016, becoming a mom in 2018 and a mom of two in 2019, Megan’s greatest enjoyment is spending time with her husband and two gorgeous children.
About Neda
Combining her passion for sport and medicine Neda chose a career in physiotherapy. Having completed a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Cape Town with a distinction in Clinical Physiotherapy. During her community service year Neda had the opportunity to work for team Western Cape in the Annual Rural Games held in Limpopo. During this time she was able to work with elite junior athletes originating from low income backgrounds. It was from this experience that she found an untapped area of research – Coaches knowledge of injury and associated risk factors among young track and field athletes – and from there acceptance to study a masters in exercise physiology and sports physiotherapy was granted.
Alongside working with Megan at their practice Neda is also involved in various sporting codes. She currently holds the position as head of medical for Western Cape Athletics and Netball as well as being the head physiotherapist for the Western Cape Tornados Netball and False Bay Rugby Club. Not only does Neda assist athletes but she is an athlete in her own right. Having represented South Africa at the Touch Rugby World Cup on 2 occasions; captaining her team at the 2019 World Cup in Malaysia.
